After restarting my device it became stuck in a boot loop where it only gets to the motorola logo then restarts and does this continually. I did not install or change anything. At this point i have tried using the stock recovery menu and clearing cache and even wiping the entire phone, yet the device still is stuck in the boot loop.

Honestly you want the XDA Forums for this one. it is just all about Android devices. I have the First Turbo. You want to go here

http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo-2

They should be able to help you. You will probably need to download the Stock Rom and either use ADB or RDSLite to reload the stock rom.

Note: They usually wipe the SD Card as well so make sure you have everything pulled off before you do that. Might have to use ADB though which will be a pain since you have to do one file at a time.

I posted there but i ran into a guide and followed it, specifically for flashing my rom https://guidebelajar.blogspot.com/2015/12/guide-to-flash-stock-android-motorola-droid-turbo-2.html I followed everything and the only issue at this point is that rsd lite does not show my device. When i have the device plugged in my machine shows it under device manager as motorola adb interface. I installed the drivers but still nothing in rsd lite.

Download RSD Lite from here

http://rsdlite.com/rsd-lite-download/

maybe try a few different version. I know a while back I also had issues with RSD Lite picking up my Turbo.

Try this. Unzip the Firmware ZIP file. See if there is a .BAT file in there. If there is right click on it and go to edit.

the one for mine looks similar to this

SET fastboot=fastboot.exe
%fastboot% oem fb_mode_set
%fastboot% flash partition gpt.bin
%fastboot% flash motoboot bootloader.img
%fastboot% flash radio radio.img
%fastboot% flash logo logo.bin
%fastboot% flash boot boot.img
%fastboot% flash recovery recovery.img
%fastboot% flash system system.img_sparsechunk1
%fastboot% flash system system.img_sparsechunk2
%fastboot% flash system system.img_sparsechunk3
%fastboot% flash system system.img_sparsechunk4
%fastboot% flash system system.img_sparsechunk5
%fastboot% flash system system.img_sparsechunk6
%fastboot% flash system system.img_sparsechunk7
%fastboot% flash system system.img_sparsechunk8
%fastboot% flash system system.img_sparsechunk9
%fastboot% flash system system.img_sparsechunk10
%fastboot% erase ddr
%fastboot% erase cache
%fastboot% oem fb_mode_clear
pause

If it looks like that then we don't need RSD Lite. Also make sure you delete a like that says %fastboot% erase Media or SD card or something like that unless you want it to wipe out EVERYTHING (Which I usually like to do time to time).

Also you will need to download fastboot.exe which you can download here as well along with some other ADB drivers.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790

Install that, then go to the install folder and copy the Fastboot.exe to the folder you extracted the ZIP firmware too.

You can also try the Universal ABD drivers here

http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo-2/general/x-force-how-to-manually-flash-official-t3282077 i tried this, i made a batch file for my image and included the right number of lines for the sparsechunks etc and btw my device is detected in adb fastboot, but thing is when it tries to flash any of the images it says FAILED (remote error) and the error above is invalid signed image preflash validation failed. Otherwise it communicates fine with the device.

The only other thing i can think of is (and not sure if the stock recovery can read a OTG device) but to load that zip file on a USB drive that is either OTG/OTG Cable and then upgrade from the Recovery screen vs a ADB sideload.

There might just be something wrong with your phone as well

Tried otg cable and flash drive with both the zip and the extracted contents of it, nothing. I am fairly certain my device is not physically at fault. I was able to before i wiped my device to open the update from sd option in recovery menu and i saw all my device's contents.

Hmmm. There are so many thing i could try but its kind of hard when I dont have the phone itself. Now that I think of it RSD lite never saw my turbo either. I had to runt he BAT file out of the zip. it has been a while since I have had to use RSD lite. I think that was back with my Droid X honestly. Never needed with with my Razr HD Maxx

I found a version of rsd that detected it finally, and i found an image that runs and lets me install it. But after it finishes flashing it still boot loops.

mine has 6.0.1 specifically

Weirdly enough i tried motorola software assistant and used its recovery function and it reflashed the image supposedly but it still boot loops, albeit their software seems like its got closer to fixing the issue but still boot loops.

Thing is i do not even really care to get the phone working besides the storage on it, i really just need a couple files off of it, so if i can just get access to the flash memory on it then id be fine.

Yea too bad there isn't a bootloader unlock for it. Otherwise I'd say Flash TWRP and you can copy files to a OTG drive.

There are ways to do it though ADB but you will be doing a pull command for every file. I don't think you can do folders. So if it is a lot then yea. Also idk if you can just list a folder and see what is in it either. I had to do a ADB push command a looooong time ago on my Droid X when i changed the boot image. Ever since I have had TWRP to always copy my files.

For the future, you may want to look into Google Drive Sync. It can sync all your files to google drive. I have that set on my Moms, Wifes, and my phone. Then i have a VM machine for each one that i run weekly to pull it down from Google drive to my server which gets backed up. But this way I never had to worry about files being lost like ever unless its between the last backup and me not having wifi to backup

The backup issue was i had a local server saving files but it unbound after awhile. And about the things i need from it, i needed a single text document BUT at this point i wiped the phone. I was hoping i could get access to the memory as a whole and run a file recovery on it but from what you are saying i suppose that is impossible.

I have tired those file recovery programs and most of them require root that I haved tired and honestly none of them got back any of my files or could even find anything. I have noticed trying to recovery files from any kind of NAND drive (Flash, SSD, Etc) never works for me and i have some pretty expensive data recovery software as well.

If the Media partition is wiped and its not booting IDK what else to do.

Yeah i seem to be sol, i only can think that once i get it to boot i can run recovery and possibly get a single file back but still stuck with that.

Took entire device apart, do not worry did not have a warranty anyway. And i used a dissecting microscope and viewed every single component especially the emmc chips. No visible physical damage.

I'm having the exact same issue as Harrison. I restarted the device manually last night, just to speed it up, and it has been stuck in a boot loop ever since. Was able to get into Recovery and wipe cache; had no effect. My T2 is running 6.0. This is a replacement device I received from Verizon a few weeks ago (first device had green line issue).

Looks like I'm going to the Verizon store today. : /
