Hey all, my father's old ass computer (atom processor, 32bit memory, etc) has gotten him on his nervers so I'm building him a (semi) new PC for christmas.

I have an old CPU (i5 3570k) and ram (8gb ddr3) and a few old hard drives that I can use. All I need now is a motherboard that supports the LGA1155 socket.

Form factor doesn't matter (as long as it isn't huge obviously), just the price.

I won't be using any video cards or anything, unless I want to (have a gtx460 lying around) but it isn't a requirement for the mobo.

It just needs to have basic stuff, like HDMI and, well, that's pretty much it. My dad only uses it for web browsing and pirating movies. So it needs usb (2) as well.

Thanks for helping!

Samsung 750 evo should be a bit cheaper and will perform the same.

On a lga1151 motherboard, only those with P67 chipsets will not have integrated graphics.

Dirt cheap, shop on ebay. You can probably buy one for $40 or so.
If you can get z77 or Z68 for a mild oc, so much the better.

Whatever you do, buy a ssd for windows; it makes everything faster. 120gb minimum.
Use a hard drive for video storage.

I live in Brazil, so no ebay for me unfortunately. Also I prefer to buy new, as this computer will be used for years to come without maintenance.

For the ssd, what model do you recommend? I have a samsung 850 evo and it has really spoiled me. Is there anything that compares to it?
