Hello everyone. So I recently got a new graphics card which was the EVGA GTX 1060 6GB. So this graphics card requires 1 6 pin connector. I am currently using a Corsair CX750M for my power supply but I have only found that I have 2 4 pin connectors that are just hanging out( assuming they are for the GPU). So EVGA has provided me with a adapter with one end being the 6 pin and the other being a split of two 3 pins. I'm not a professional so Im just wondering if I am able to connect the 4 pin from my power supply cord into the 3 pin.

I've also noticed that my power supply was suppose to provide me with a 6 pin connector but because it was a custom built and my previous card did not need any connections from the power supply. Therefore, I guess they didnt give me one?

UPDATE: I just found out that the two 4 pin are SATA so they arent pci. So forget that. I guess my only hope is to find the connector for the same power supply. Anybody know if they sell the cable separately and can they link the the correct one? Thanks alot.

Hi kelvinho66 :)

Here is an example of a 6pin PCIe cable you would require: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Silverstone-Tek-PP07-IDE6W-Sleeved-Extension-Power-Supply-Cable-/252426760020?
You can also use an 8pin 6+2 : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Silverstone-8pin-to-PCI-E-8pin-6-2-Sleeved-Cable-SST-PP07-PCIB-Black-/271147127203?

Thank you for the quick reply. So basically all I have to do is plug the 8 pin into my power supply and plug in the 6 pin in to my graphics card and leave the 2 just hanging there right?

If you use an 8pin then yes, Just leave the 2pin portion hanging. Some cards now have 8pin connections.
