Multiple Computers for storage

I want to connect multiple old computers together for the main purpose of them showing up as one storage device. It will also be hosting a VERY small game server (2-6 people) but one CPU will be enough for it. I know it will probably be some sort of cluster but everything I find is about processing power and I don't necessarily need that.

You would be better off, power and space wise, by just removing the disks from the multiple hosts and putting them in a single chassis. Even using USB3 would be less trouble than networked hosts and a distributed file system like GPFS.
