Hi guys,
So the title pretty much sums it all up. My laptop used to be able to play games like Mass Effect 2 and 3, Dragon Age II, Skyrim, and DOTA 2 with no lag. Now, I can't play any of these games at all because of the horrendous lag. I'm not really sure what happened.
Here are a couple of things that could've triggered it:
1. I used to play with a laptop fan powered through a usb port, but then when we traveled, I left the fan at home, so I played with no fan. But we went to Norway where it was really cold so I thought I didn't need it anyway. After a couple of weeks of playing with no fan, the lag happened
2. I updated to Windows 10 prior to the lag. The games worked normally immediately after the upgrade, but after a week, the horrendous lag happened. I brought the laptop to a certified repair shop by the manufacturer cause I was thinking that maybe my drivers just need updating, but they said that the drivers were all already updated to windows 10.
So far those are the only two things I could think of. I was thinking maybe my laptop just needed cleaning or maybe defragging (but it's running windows 10 so maybe that's not necessary).
Any help would be really appreciated cause I bought this laptop with gaming in mind and now I can't play the games I want to play.
