Hello everyone! I am having a problem with my new GPU that I got off Amazon, this problem started after a month, every time the fan turns on it makes this rattling noise for 1 sec and then stops when the fan stops spinning or when the fan continues seems like something to do with the fan starting to spin.

Btw I am not having any problems with the GPU itself just the fans.

This is my current build:
Mobo: Gigabyte f2a78m-DH2
Cpu: AMD X4 860K
CPU Cooler: Cryorig H7
Ram: Kingston Hyperx ddr3 8gb
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 Windforce OC 6gb
PSU: EVGA 430w 80+ Continuous power
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500gb
Case: Corsair Carbide series 88R Matx

EDIT: I have tried tightening the screws on the fan mounts with semi-success as it still makes the grinding noise when the fan kicks in only a bit less louder but still noticeable

EDIT2: It seems to not occur when i disable 3D-Active Fan mode... when i turn it off, the fan remains always on at 20% instead of 0% on low temps... though... i would like a response on how to fix the problem so i can keep 3d-active fan mode on...

it could possibly be a bearing on the fans, try looking up some reviews on that specific card and see if anything like that pops up, if not then try contacting the manufacturer and see if they can solve the issue

Very Unlikely but i found a couple of videos showing the same problem... here is an example (Not the same card but very similar issue)

try tightening the screws for the fans... this is shown in the video description: SEE THE SOLUTION TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE HERE, posted by Juani Cere: "I had the exact same problem and I fixed by myself. The only thing that i did was tighten the 3 screws per fan (you don't need open the card, but you need a tiny screw driver). After that my card is totally silent. BTW is a RX 470 G1 but it has the same assembly than all G1 cards."

I tried that already but it does not seem to fix the problem though i noticed that the fan cables seem to be a bit high, i might think that it's getting scraped by the fan.

that could be the culprit... see if you can move them away from the blades and if it stops the rattling

that would be the only solution here, try getting a replacement and if that does the same thing then go with a different card brand in general
