Switching to Intel

Ok I'm biting the bullet and making the switch from my AMD processor and mobo to an i7 and mobo so I'm wondering how the i7-6700k and asus z170-k ddr4 mobo would work together. This combo is in my price $450 ish and seems to work well with my video card any thoughts?

it should do as the skylake cpu uses the lga1151 so z170 sounds good and the Asus z170k uses ddr4 ram so sounds good

I have a nvidia gtx 1060 asus Stryx edition 6gb as Main graphics and then a nvidia gtx 750ti 2gb as a dedicated physx processor, 2 ssd's 960gb&260gb 1hdd 7200rpm 2tb, 16gb ram, amd phenom 2x6 1090t be, asus 990fx tuf edition

the i7 + the gtx1060 is great, the i7 is a really powerful cpu and is also great for rendering. 1080p you will have no problems
