Hello, I am having trouble deciding how much RAM I should get for my X99 build. I feel like 32gb is perfect. Just not sure.

What I Will Be Doing:

1080p Rendering

Animating/3D Models

GFX Designing

Heavy Multi-Tasking

Gaming

Streaming/Recording My Screen

How much RAM will survive through all of this?

One thing that have A LOT of RAM can allow you to do is create a large RAMDISK to use for scratch space. A 32GB RAM disk can be very useful for some things.

But I agree with @Tradesman1 that 32GB (4 x 8GB) is probably the optimum price/performance point.

Okay thanks. Now that I think of it, I won't be doing nothing super crazy. So 32gb sounds perfect. Should I get 8x4 or 4x8? I doubt I will ever need more than 32gb as I will probably find a new hobby and all.
