Need New GPU

Hi all, I'm happy to say I'm just asking for advice. My current system (quite old) is a gigabyte mobo like (G97 6A <- something like that) a Radeon 7770 16gb ram a 8350 amd 6 core and 850 W power supply and And a ssd. With Black Friday and all I want to buy a new gpu 250$ and below. Any suggestions or really good value? Appreciate everything. Happy thanksgiving!

This is a very powerful but low cost GPU. Your system will bottleneck the card but its such a good price it doesn't matter.

A 1050TI will give you a decent boost over a 7770, a 1060 3GB or RX 470 a bit extra, a 6GB 1060 or RX 480 a bit more than that.

Beyond the 1050TI you're likely getting into potential bottleneck territory without a overclocking the CPU...

Yes the 8350 is to slow per core for good game play.

I looked at some reviews of this card and it seems to heat up a lot. Are they any versions you think are superior? Maybe the MSI? or is this card fine and they have bad cooling setups

All GPU's run pretty hot. Teh XFX is a good GPU but there are good MSI cards if you want that brand. Here is a great one. Note the fans dont run till the card hits 60 degrees to low noise video, low end gaming, and web browsing. It comes with a $20 rebate so its about the same price as the XFX.
