Good evening. Last night I got a random error on my computer which said "The Recycle Bin is Corrupt" on my ":C" Drive (A secondary Hard Drive). I paid no attention to this and clicked "Ok". Today however while checking the Hard Drive I realized everything in the drive was no longer there but the drive still shows that it has files in it (Attached a screenshot). I tried a Data Recovery software (Recuva) just for the sake of trying but it did not find anything, mostly because I did not delete anything in this drive or anything in the folders they just disappeared. Any suggestions? Help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance!

Hi there gabrielorie,

Is this a separate, physical drive, or a partition of a drive?

Anyway, you can see if some other tools would do the job as well: https://www.lifewire.com/free-data-recovery-software-tools-2622893
Also, you can try to access the drive under Ubuntu: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/267999-32-recover-data-mode
Just boot(don't install it) from a CD or a flash drive, navigate to the drive and see whether you will be able to access it. If you can do that, back up the data and test the drive afterwards: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
