Hey guys so i've decided to get an amd 10-7890k with a gtx 1060 6gb but i don't know if that's to much bottleneck and if its better off to just save up for a new pc? Also i'd like to know if that stuff would fit in my lenovo erazer x 315

Specs - 16 gb ram
cpu - amd fx 770k quad core 3.5ghz overclocked to 3.8ghz
motherboard - lenovo bantry
operating system - windows 10
graphics card - amd radeon r9 360

400w is plenty for a GTX 1060 (120w) and AMD quad (65w), you probably don't need the new power supply either, though it certainly can't hurt.

My opinion: Upgrade video card first to GTX 1060. FM2+ is a dead-end platform and pretty low-end, so after that I'd save up for an overhaul and move over to Intel's socket 1151. Don't buy a new FM2+ CPU or more DDR3, new power supply or FM2+ motherboard.

there is no point in buying an APU if you are still getting a GPU. I would recommend saving up and switching over to Intel/1151 Motherboard as you will see huge improvements over your current AMD CPU. Alternatively you could wait until the next generation Intel Kaby Lake and AMD Zen CPU's appear.

The FX 770K and A10 7890K are the same CPU, the FX just has the iGPU disabled. If you buy the A10 and then add a GTX 1060, you're going to disable the iGPU anyway. In short, don't buy it.

A GTX 1060 would improve performance in most games, even with a slow FM2+ CPU. Upgrading to an Intel CPU would also improve performance in most games. Both would be idea, but most of us are budget constrained, and I expect you'll still appreciate the new card with your current CPU.
