Should i get 3gb more vram for 70$

If really getting for performance per dollar, the 8GB RX 480 would be the best for the future (plus it performs better than the 1060 in DX12 and Vulkan, APIs that will own the future)

If you are really going for a GTX 1060 (like I did) totally get the 6 GB model.
The 3 GB more like a 1060 SE (or you could call the 3 GB Model 1060 and the 6 GB model 1060 Ti)
I was close to calling it a 1050 Ti, before they released that actual card.

Totally get the 6 GB version if you can afford it and want to stay with nVidia, otherwise take a RX 480. (Besides that, both versions of AMD's card are identical except for the memory. And both have more than the 3 GB 1060)

Well, my point was you're actually getting more than just 3GB more VRAM for the extra $65. That being said, I still don't know if the 6GB card is worth that much more. Ceratainly in terms of average performance per dollar, the 3GB card is the better buy.

Get the 6GB model. There's an increasing amount of games that try to tie up available image quality settings with the amount of VRAM you have, why short-change yourself by getting the 3GB model? Just think of it this way: a GTX 1060 is generally about as fast as a GTX 980, so why would you settle for getting a model that has less memory than even a GTX 970?
