Upgrading to an i7 4790 from i5 4690k worth it?

When it comes to streaming will it make a big difference? Right now my i5 seems to struggle having programs like Adobe Audition running in the background while streaming and is always at or around 100% cpu usage.

Yes it will help in streaming. I find it hard to believe that your i5 is struggling though. Have you tried overclocking?

I would only upgrade to the i7 4790k, and only if you could sell your 4690k for a decent price.

I overclocked to 4.5GHz but didn't see much of a difference. My games seem to stutter a bit once I start streaming, and even more so when I have programs running in the background.
