Hello, the time has finally come to ditch my trusty 560ti and upgrade, I just wanted to check with you fine people that there wont be any issues running the card im thinking about getting.
My main concerns are the processor and motherboard.

My current system spec is as follows:

PROCESSOR - Intel CPU Core i5 2500K Unlocked Sandy Bridge Quad Core Processor OEM @3.30

OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM Operating System

PSU - Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2UK Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 High Performance 750W Power Supply

MOBO - Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3, Intel Z68, S 1155, DDR3, SATA III - 6Gb/s, SATA RAID, PCIe 3.0 (x16), D-Sub/DVI-D/HDMI, ATX

GPU - 1GB MSI GTX 560Ti OC Twin Frozr II 40nm, 4200MHz GDDR5, GPU 880MHz, Shader 1760MHz, 384 Cores

CPU COOLING - Phanteks CPU Cooler Premium White Edition S2011/1155/1156/1366/775 AMD AM2/2+/AM3

RAM - Corsair Memory Vengeance Black 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CAS 9 XMP Dual Channel Desktop

Thanks in advance for any advice.

1060 is actually more powerful than 470/480 if you really wanna stick to it, in some cases RX cards win (DX12 titles, not all), just get a 1060 after reviewing it. It will totally work on your build.

Your motherboard is PCIe 3.0 compatible, totally supports the 1060, your processor should too, but seeing as it is a old processor I can't tell much about the performance GPU will be giving.

I would recommend an RX 480 due to the insanely good deals that there are at the moment.
Get this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/6898TW/gigabyte-radeon-rx-480-40gb-g1-gaming-video-card-gv-rx480g1-gaming-4gd
If you REALLY want a 1060, see below, but it's only a 5-10% increase in performance for about a 30% increase in price.
Not worth it at all imo.

Here's Probably the best value 1060 6GB: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/JVWrxr/msi-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-gaming-x-video-card-geforce-gtx-1060-gaming-x-6g

The Windforce is also good, but not as good value as the Gaming X or RX 480: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/7RKhP6/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-windforce-oc-6g-video-card-gv-n1060wf2oc-6gd

Definitely, I am a fan of NVidia too but I will still take what gives me a better deal for the performance. Just check reviews on the particular card you buy, I'd pick from MSI/Asus :)
