I recently purchased the Aten Vs182 HDMI splitter. My use case is to split the signal going from a lecturer's laptop to a projector, so that I can record his/her screen while the lecture is going on. But, the Aten splitter wouldn't give me a stable signal. It kept glitching, and I lost the picture both on the screen in the auditorium and on my recording laptop very frequently. Maybe once per minute. I had to remove the switcher and let the lecture go on without recording it. What can I do to get a more stable signal? Do I have to buy a more expensive HDMI splitter?
