Hello everyone,

i have a problem when booting usb/dvd on my laptop. Like an idiot, i accidently deleted literally everything( boot partition and windows installation ). Now i get "bootmgr is missing" error while the sata mode is IDE,

also i tried satama mode ahci, but i got an error like "setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition".

I am stuck may anyone help please?

Edit:After several days later I feel like i am obliged to say that the solution which worked for me was to remove usb drive and plug it back to proceed the installation.

Hi there atou,

You can try to run startup repair. If this doesn't work, you can try to rebuild the BCD. Tutorial: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2622803

Yet, if you've deleted everything, this may not work. Did you wipe the drive? If this is the case, you may need to take the HDD out of the system, attach it as a secondary one to another system, run some data recovery tools on it and save all the recover data on another drive. Then, you will need to perform a clean OS install.
