What do i have to do after formatting PC regarding my Internet network and modem?

So I'm planning to format my PC since a long time (Backed up everything) the part that I'm worried about is the internet network, I'm afraid my PC won't connect to my modem for some reason, resulting me to not be able to use the Internet, Do I have re-configure my modem? or do I have to establish some kind of connection between PC and modem, Please guide me step by step.

the modem has nothing to do with your PC so nothing to worry about there. but you will need to download drivers for the OS you plan to install in case the OS you install does not come with any drivers for your computer. if it is a brand name computer like HP or acer you can go to their website and lookup your model number and download the drivers. if this is a custom built computer then you will have to get the make and model of your motherboard and possibly GPU and find the drivers on their websites
