Hello, I have been experiencing BSOD's on my computer for quite some time now. The system is fairly old by now (2009) but has had some extensive upgrades over the years.

Specs:
Gateway DX4710-07
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300
Corsair XMS2 4GB DDR2 800
Corsair CX Series CX500 500W PSU
Zotac GTX 650 Video Card
Stock MOBO
2 WD Blue Hard Drives

The BSODs usually occur when I start the computer up in the morning, usually happening two-three times, and eventually it runs fine after that. It seems to never blue screen after it manages to not to crash after 5-10 mins after startup. I've already ran BlueScreenView and there are several different types of blue screens popping up Its too much info and I'm not exactly sure how to show the entirety of it in a realistic manner on this post, but here's some of the more important info I think you guys would need.

Bug Check String/ Bug Check Code/ Caused by Driver/

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000d1 ataport.SYS

KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 0x0000001e ntoskrnl.exe

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 0x0000003b ndis.sys

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050 nvlddmkm.sys

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 0x1000007e nvlddmkm.sys

MEMORY_MANAGEMENT 0x0000001a ntoskrnl.exe

ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY 0x000000fc ntoskrnl.exe

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x0000000a ntoskrnl.exe

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP 0x0000007f ntfs.sys

NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM 0x00000024 ntfs.sys

KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 0x0000001e ntoskrnl.exe

I have about two months of logs on the minidump files, and here are the majority of different type of BSOD's I'm getting. The file and product types are mostly "NT Kernal and System" and "Microsoft Windows operating systems", while the others are not labeled anything as far as file type.

I've pretty much decided to run this system into the ground and I'll probably make another build once it's totally inoperable, but I'd like to use this opportunity to learn a thing or two about BSOD's and how to further my knowledge on fixing computers. If fixing the system entirely looks bleak, I would at least want to know as to what is causing these blue screens and what it would take to fix it. Thanks!

Your BSODs don't seem to have a pattern. There are 2 most likely causes. I'd start by testing with different RAM. I'd say it's about 80% chance that's your problem. If not, it could be a hard drive with damaged sectors which in turn have damaged some files and therefore produce those BSODs.

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 0x1000007e nvlddmkm.sys
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050 nvlddmkm.sys
= Nvidia drivers, try this: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2767677/clean-graphics-driver-install-windows.html

NDIS is a legitimate system driver for your network interface controller. However, malware has often been disguised using this file name.
ataport.SYS - Advice I can find for this is run an AV scan or Malwarebytes.

NTOSKRNL = New Technology Operating System Kernel - Its windows, if this crashes, so does windows. Its often blamed for BSOD caused by driver requests

NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM 0x00000024 ntfs.sys - Download and run Datalifeguard for windows on your hdd's: https://support.wdc.com/downloads.aspx?lang=en

Thanks for the prompt response! I've carried out everything that you've recommended me to do, I downloaded malwarebytes and completely wiped the video card driver before installing a new one, but the problem is still persisting. Here are the types of bluescreens I've gotten since I've attempted to fix the problem.

Bug Check String/Bug Check Code/ Caused by Driver/

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 0x0000003b msahci.sys

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x0000000a ntoskrnl.exe

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050 ntoskrnl.exe

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000d1 rdyboost.sys

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 0x0000003b blbdrive.sys

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 0x0000003b ntoskrnl.exe

The blbdrive.sys file is also known as BLB Drive Driver which belongs to the Microsoft Windows Operating System. It is considered to be a legitimate Windows 7 driver for SM/MMC host controller. This file is a car subwoofer driver. << that seems an odd file to be running

They are all driver errors but I can't even find a web site for your PC since its almost 10 years old.

Normally I wouldn't suggest this as I don't trust the programs to find the right drivers but they not bad if you careful. Download Driver Booster 3 and run it and see what drivers it suggests and then go see if you can find them yourself. Its much safer to just use it as a guide. I have had it install wrong drivers before and only been rescued by fact it creates a restore point before it installs anything

I've downloaded Driver Booster 4 and scanned my computer, the only out of date drivers seem to be for my mouse. Other than that I will probably try buying stock RAM since it's fairly cheap and see if that manages to fix anything. Thanks!

For some reason I thought you were on win 10. My fault as I answer win 10 questions all day... Its had a good life, I upgraded from a Core 2 Duo last year and the speed/response times blew me away... PC's aren't meant to last forever, the only original parts of it were motherboard, CPU, the case and 1 hdd, rest had died along the way. I would have added an ssd earlier if i knew how much difference they make.

If you want to look at what the errors all mean, I would download something like who crashed (see under crash analysis tools here: http://www.resplendence.com/downloads)which reads the dump files and adds more info to the errors. Do a google search of the bugcheck code (so for Page fault in non paged area, copy Bugcheck:0x00000050 into search bar) and you might find a link to this page: Bug Check 50 which is the developer troubleshooting pages for BSOD. Seems that error could be ram after all.

this might fix some of them:
right click start button
choose command prompt (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter

this scans system files and may fix this behaviour
