Hi, always a pleasure looking for help in this great forum.

Im looking to upgrade my motherboard + cpu. Right now i have a ASUS P8H67-V and a i7 2600 (the non "k" version) and i feel its time for a change. My GPU is a R9 390 nitro btw.

Any cool suggestions? I do not OC at all but i do like to play current games (Battlefield 1, for example).

THANKS, i appreciate

If you can get the 980ti for less then the 1070 then I would grab it, if not then the 1070 would be a good upgrade and its a bit faster then the 980 ti.

Hi man, thanks for the reply.

Do you think it would be better to wait some time before upgrading my cpu then?

The 1080 gtx would be great, but they are going for 1k usd in my country so thats kinda out of my league right now.

I would wait on a CPU upgrade as IMO its not worth it. As far as the GPU then I would go with a 1070 as its still much faster then your current GPU or if you happy with your current performance then I would wait and save up more. There are other upgrades such as adding in a SSD for the OS to speed that up a bit and also works well for games with longer loading screens.

What about the 980 Ti? Would it be a good upgrade? I can get a good deal for a used one.

I just paid $275 for a used Zotac 980 ti AMP so hopefully that is a good deal! Passmark ranked the 980 ti and the 1070 around the same score but the 980 ti has a higher TDP rating, 250W versus 150W. But the cheapest 1070 I found is nearer $400 so thought the 980 ti was a better deal for me.
