If you are keeping your processor, make sure the socket type on the motherboard you plan on upgrading to is the same as your CPU, and make sure your RAM modules match the specified type on your board (DDR3/DDR4) along with the speed limit/requirement of the DIMM slots.

Thanks for the help, im getting a new motherboard, cpu, and gpu.
GTX 1050 TI
Intel i3-6100
Gigabyte H110M-A

I see your listing your upgrade components, now list the RAM size, manufacturer and Part No of your DIMMs.
Also list the PSU you will be using.
It is advisable to do a clean install of your OS if your going to use existing HDD or SSD.
Backup all important files prior to formatting of drives.

In addition to needing new DRAM, if you want to migrate your current OS and drive, then make backups of all your data files and ensure Win is up to date. Then simply put the new rig together hook up the hard drive as is and give it a shot. Win will take a look at whats there and install default drivers for the new hardware, and hopefully will go into Win (works about 90+% of the time. Next download and install the latest drivers for the mobo, starting with the chipset drivers. Then run a good registry cleaner (Wise has a good free version). Then Win will prob call for reactivation - though not always. Reactivate and you are up and running
