So, right now, I am running an X99-Deluxe U3.1 board with a 5820k though I am planning on getting the 6850k for the 40 lanes since I am running dual 1080s.
But I would like to upgrade the mobo to one of the new ones since they have rgb lighting, especially since the x99 chipset is likely not going to be continued with the release of Kaby Lake. (Maybe I'm wrong/don't have the info straight?) I was thinking I'd upgrade now and then wait a few generations to switch sockets. buy anyways..
I have been eyeballing the Rampage V Edition 10, but recently when I went from one 1080 to 2 way sli the Ai Suite 3 took a dump on me. I am using their fan card to control pump and rad fans, but without the suite I have no fan xpert 3 control, which I know I can use the bios to control them but I'd like to be able to control them per application or as needed.
My question is,
Is the Rampage V Edition 10 something I still want and maybe they will fix the Ai suite 3 bug?
Or should I head over to a different brand? if I should switch brands to like MSI or EVGA which boards should I go with? RGB lighting is preferred but I know I am going over the top but I want the best. I was looking at the X99A godlike from MSI but the red is kind of killing it for me,
