Tom clancy's the division uplay activation error

Just bought this game on steam and when I hit play uplay came up with an error saying "uplay activation error" and now when i hit play nothing happens. I have contacted both parties but in the mean time maybe there is a fix to this problem if anyone could help that would be great. My payment went through and everything went normal as it should.

is the uplay and steam version connected??.I think when you buy from steam you get the steam version and not the uplay version.Also do you have uplay installed??

So all I did was buy it from steam then when i hit play it started up uplay (yes i do have it installed) and it just said error activating the key and then it closed very quickly and thats it.
