So I have a new build and I'm stuck between storage methods, so if you had the choice between 256 m.2 for OS and 1tb WD black or a 1tb ssd for all.

Solution
Don't get WD Blacks unless you're going for 3TB+.
A Seagate Barracuda works for 2TB, and a WD Caviar Blue is perfect for 1TB.
What's your budget for storage?
Don't get more than a 250GB SSD, it's only meant for software and OS, games don't see any improvement apart from slightly faster loading times, not worth it at all.

Use a 120gb, possibly 256, SSD (I recommend Samsung evo drives) for the OS and programs and a 1tb hard drive for everything else. A 1tb ssd is a waste of money as it's not ideal to spend that kind of money when the only things that will really benefit from an ssd (OS and programs) only take up maybe 100 or so gb
