Hi_guys_I_have_bought_a_corsairVS5550_PSU_and_the_fan_faces_upwards_I_have_a_K380_cabinet_which_allows_me_to_fit_the_PSU_at_bottom.Should_i_fit_the_psu_upside_down_to_make_the_fan_vent_outside_the_cabinet.Is_this_safe.

PS:Bear_with_the_underscores_spacebar_issue.

Yeah I would do that, however the psu should not add heat to your case even with the fan pointed up as the fan on the psu is blowing air downwards onto the psu components then out of the back of the psu into the open air. This could still cause your gpu to heat up ever so slightly because you have the gpu pulling air onto its heatsink and the psu pulling air in the opposite direction onto its components, so essentially you would have the gpu fan or fans and the psu fan fighting each other for air. That's mainly why I...

It doesn't really matter as long as you are not blocking the fan. The power supply with the fan facing upwards will act as an exhaust fan for your case if you want that. With the fan facing downward its essentially isolated from the case, which is how I personally have mine set up. However you may not want to face the fan downwards if you have your case on carpet or some other surface that's going to choke the fan.

That's mainly why I point my psu fan downwards. And no problem.
