If you're nervous about updating your bios, you shouldn't be. There are to methods. 1. You can flash your bios, but if it is the wrong bios, you will brick you computer, so I do not recommend that. Even if you do accidentally do that, there is a back up bios that the company of your board can help you get. 2. Get the bios on a flash drive and then do it that way. This is more safer than flashing. Just make sure you do not shutdown your pc during the process. That is all. For the version, just go to google and type in the exact model and make of your board and then it should have the bios you will need. Do not be nervous about it, it will be ok.

Well once you find the version, download it onto your flash drive. Or you can download it and then drag it over to the flash drive. There are many you tube videos that show this.

Then download it, its free. Whats your motherboard make and model and I will find it for you? Do not follow the instructions on how to update your bios from some random person on the internet. Like I said the bios update process differs from board to board. If you cant be bothered to look up your manual and follow the instructions, then you should not be updating your bios.

not likely to brick it by flashing the wrong bios--most boards will simply tell you its an incompatible bios and not let you flash it at all

how easy it is depends which motherboard you have

some nowadays do it all for you

i can go in my bios and it can flash the bios straight of the internet inside the bios just with a click

it finds the correct bios and flashes it all with out you needing to do anything or even know anything about it

It is not some random person on the internet. Did you read the you tube part? There are you tubers that are experts like linus tech tips.

That's impossible, unless you have a no-name Mobo bought in an alley. All manuals are online. Don't EVEN try to do this without the manual's PRECISE instructions. Hey why do I care, is your problem.

If you have a UPS, USE IT.
