High CPU Usage when playing games?

I have an i5 4690K at stock speed (3.5GHz) and when I play games like Far Cry 3 my CPU usage goes to around 70% but the temps are only around 47c. In GTA V, the usage goes up to 80% or even 100% but the temps stay at around 50c.

Is this bad? Do I need to re apply thermal compound? I have an H100i GTX liquid cooler.

Not a problem.
the cpu needs to get to about 100c before it will slow down or shut off to protect itself.
In practice 75c should not be worrisome.

You probably have headroom to overclock.
