Hi all,

I am unable to integrate this second video card into my build so that I may watch videos on a third "monitor." Only the third display shows up, neither of the two on the original vid card show anything: either no signal or no data (i.e. either asleep or a black screen)

Background: In an attempt to connect my Optima projector to my PC as a third monitor I bought a GeForce 210 vid card. With little forethought or research I slapped it in my case next to my GTX 560, to which two Acer monitors are connected by DVI.

For several hours now I have been able to see only the third display, sometimes at 1280x720, other times at 800x600. Even when Device Manager reports that both Display Adapters report no problems, neither Windows Display Settings nor NVIDIA Control Panel will let me reliably run all three displays.

I say 'reliably' because it did work for about two minutes about 30 minutes ago, but it's not beem repeatable. I think it started working when I hit yhe <enter> key, and I think it stopped while I was trying to identify monitors win Display Settings.

I have tried NVIDIA 353.30 under a clean (driver) install with no luck - this was NVIDIA's suggested driver for the GTX 560. I only get display 3.

I couldn't install 342.00 (NVIDIA's suggested driver for the 210) because the installer couldn't find compatible hardware.

When I took out the newly-inserted 210 to get back to where I'd been, I got 15 minutes of the rotating dots on a black screen. At least with the second md card in I can use a TV via HDMI to try to troubleshoot this.

The only clues I see are that the system is a *lot* slower than when I started this, so it's likely a conflict somehwere, but one I can't eliminate. NVIDIA Control Panel shows all three monitors as possible, but selecting either one from the GTX 560 makes all of them go black until it reverts the change.

Any thoughts or clarifyng questions ons are most appreciated. Any typos are thumb-related.

Update 11/27: Updated title. Also, I was finally able to get back to where I started (1 card, 2 monitors) but am unsure how to proceed. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
