whats the point of graphics card display ports?

Why is there display ports, VGA, DVI and Hdmi on graphics cards? don't you connect up your monitors with the motherboard display ports?

Because to fully use the graphic card, you have to connect to the graphic card's ports, not the motherboard's.

Motherboard display outputs are for using integrated graphics. You need to use the graphics card's outputs to actually make use of the card.

maxalge I don't have a graphics card, I use integrated graphics now, and also I use an AIO computer, so don't presume that.
