So I bought a msi gtx 1050 and when I tried to turn it on, the PC would just turn the fans and the lighs for like a sec and then it would turn back off...

All I did was remove a bit of dust from the fans and I added the thermal paste to my processor because it was missing it and then I hooked up the GPU.

I tried removing the GPU and start it again but it didn't work...

This is my PC build:
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W
Motherboard: ASUS P8H67-M PRO/CSM (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 [It has PCIe 2.0]

Solution
What do you mean, it was missing the thermal paste? Since day one or did you clean it off and replace it?

Things to check to start: (1) that all cables are well seated, (2) clear the CMOS (either with the CMOS jumper or unplug it and also remove the bios battery for a moment, (3) insure that the new card is well seated and that your memory is seated since you were near it and also the ATX12V -- the small power connector to the board.
