So my Windows 10 system has an SSD installed in SATA Port 0 and a Hard Drive in SATA Port 1. I got an additional hard drive today and installed it into SATA Port 2. However, it is not being recognized in My Computer, Device Manager, or Disk Management. The hard drive does show up in BIOS though.
Note I tried switching to all of the other SATA ports that I have not being used.
What can I do to make my second hard drive recognizable in Windows?

Solution
Ok there is 3 things to try. First try 'Control Panel->System and Security->Storage Spaces'. See if that drive is set up as a storage space. If so delete it. Go into disk manager and see if recognized. IF this isn't the case try resetting your bios. If this doesn't help then look for a bios update.

Yes I know how to do this. The problem is that it's not showing up in the disk management, so there is no way to start the setup wizard. Only my SSD and HDD1 are showing up and not my new HDD.

Alright so I connected the new HDD into SATA Port 1 and set it up successfully. The drive is healthy and I was able to format it.
I connected my older HDD into SATA Port 2 and now it's not being recognized. Is there some weird thing in Windows where the drives have to be in Port 0 and 1 only?

Okay so I solved the problem when looking for BIOS updates. Turns out my drives were 6 Gbps and weren't recognized in my SATA2 ports. I have a Gigabyte motherboard, so I had two GSATA3 ports. I installed the Marvell SATA Controller driver from the Gigabyte website for my motherboard, and the two GSATA3 ports started working, making my second HDD visible in Windows.
Thanks for the help though!
