Hi again! I just bought a Bose Soundtouch 300, and want to hook it up to my PC. Connects no problem to a TV but can't get it to play PC sounds or even be recognized.

I want to hook it up with an optical out cable. I have an Asus Hero VII motherboard and it has SPDIF out but it doesn't recognize the BOSE. I was thinking of buying another sound card with optical out that works, so I can switch from PC Speakers to Bose Speakers for when I want to power up the theater system, aka projector, for movie enjoying galore!

Would below item work for this?

Thank you!!
