Solution
Your MB supports the GTX 1050 and the following slots:

1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)
* For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot.

1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4)
* The PCIEX4 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX1_3 slot. When the PCIEX1_3 slot is populated, the PCIEX4 slot will operate at up to x2 mode.

4 x PCI Express x1 slots
(All of the PCI Express slots conform to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)

Insert the card into the PCIE X16 slot.
Thanks to that modest TDP, neither GTX 1050 needs an external PCIe power plug to do its thing.
If your still unsure I will explain more fully with Diagrams.

if it does not have a pcie power plug then that means you bought one that does not need a pcie cable for additional power

simple

it gets all of its power from the pcie slot itself

The GTX 1050 doesn't need an external power connector, it's power usage is low enough that it can draw all its power from the motherboard. If the card isn't working eg. no display, then try reseating the card. If that doesn't work, it's likely you have a bad card and you'll need to get it replaced.
