Currently I am looking to buy a new Cpu and motherboard.
Cpu will be an i7 6700k and the motherboard is a Gigabyte. Overall it'll only be about $310 (excluding tax). I'll also need new ram (My current ram is only ddr3 and it needs ddr4). I'm looking at getting about 16 gigs of DDR4 2133 (The motherboard apparently only takes 2133), for around $80 to $90.

Is there anywhere that I could find this cheaper, or maybe even a better setup? Where would I find ram under those specifications the cheapest?
Also, will I need to purchase a new copy of windows? I've heard that if I attach windows to my current computer, I will be able to reactivate it once I have upgraded the motherboard. Is this true?

Thank you for the help in advance.

For that CPU, you should be definitely looking at a Z170 chipset motherboard. It's not cheaper, but there's no point in getting a K CPU with a non Z motherboard. You can also get faster RAM with a Z170 board.

Microcenter is a fine place to shop, but Amazon and Newegg are great choices, too.
A good MOBO/RAM combo would be

Usually if you replace your motherboard when you have Windows 10, it will void your OEM license, but it is possible to just get it re-activated over the phone.

If you want to use the motherboard you...

If you want to use the motherboard you listed, I would get the non K version (i7 6700)
