I have a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse and I end up having to have the dongle about six inches from the devices while playing a game otherwise keystrokes don't register all the time. During normal web browsing I can have it further away. I was wondering if I got an usb extender cable with a ferrite core if that would help with the interference I get while gaming that is shortening the range?

Currently I have the dongle connected via a usb extender cable I got from the dollar store which is connected to a usb 3.0 port.

Well, if you have not already done so, I would start by trying another USB extender cable. The ferrite core is probably meaningless.....

And I would be skeptical of any USB 3.0 product being offered via the Dollar Store. Get the cable somewhere else.

Then I would try putting new batteries into the keyboard and mouse.

Then, I would download and reinstall the Logitech drivers via Logitech's website.

Common elements, for now, are the dongle and the cable.

My next concern would be the USB 3.0 port. Can you try the keyboard etc. on another computer - the idea being to see if the problem follows the keyboard/mouse/dongle or not.
