i have an msi 1060 gaming 6gb GPU with an AMD A10-6800k 4 core 4.2 or 4.4 ghz processor with corsair H100i v2 liquid cooling i have 16gb of ram and my games are installed on an SSD i am getting a lot of frame rate drops in my games it will go from 120fps down to 30fps in games like CSGO and H1Z1 all my driver are up to date for everything and im really struggling to find an answer help me please :(.

Solution
Your A10 is not really strong enough to get maximum performance out of a 1060. Large fps drops is a sure sign of a cpu bottleneck.

What do you suggest getting for a new CPU being an FM2+ socket?

Nothing exists for the fm2+ socket that would be a worthwhile upgrade. Even the strongest cpu is only barely stronger than your A10.

Overclocking would help a little, but, you're going to have to get a new cpu + motherboard if you want more performance.
