As my title says which card compare to the 1050 ti on the Radeon side. Which Radeon card is about the same price, same performance as the gtx 1050ti. I don't like the look of the small card, and I wanna know if the Radeon card similar to the 1050ti is better.

Solution

rx 480[4gb],1060[3gb],rx470[4gb/8gb] are the best cards for gaming for under $200.i suggest to wait till Cyber Monday to get sweet discounts on cards.

Also look for the 8gb and 6gb version coz they provide a little better specs than the 4gb and 3gb version

Currently AMD does not have a competitor to the 1050ti.I'll put up a list below

Note:I have arranged with list of powerful cards in descending order

Enthusiast Card
Titan XP[12gb]

Top tier
gtx 1080[8gb]
gtx 1070[8gb]

Medium tier
RX 480[8/4gb]
gtx 1060[3,6gb]
Rx470[4,8gb][This is sometimes equal to 1060]

Lowtier
gtx1050ti[4gb]
gtx 1050[2gb]
RX 460[2/4gb]

The rx 470 is powerful than a 1050ti however a rx 460 is not powerful as the 1050ti.AMD seems to have a gap between rx 470 and rx 460 and that gap is covered by nvidia with the 1050 series cards

for under $200 your best bet is a rx 480

Newegg offers some discount and some rebate points using which you could get the card for as low as 210 dollars for the 8gb model(rx 480) and as cheap as 190 for the rx470[8gb model].Also if you have american express card and spend over 200 dollars in newegg you get back extra $25

8gb model is preferable future safe and is powerful than than the 4gb model

the 470 with 8gb of vram is NOT going to be better than a 480 with 4gb

Alright. Lastly is this a good build? What are some ways I can maybe get it down to 1000 without changing graphics etc.

Dump the water cooler & noctua fans ,& buy a case that already has good preinstalled cooling.
Only way to get the price down.

I'd ask why you're not going skylake though when it can be done cheaper ??

The above two pc parts built are good.Add a rx 480 instead of 1060 in the first one. While gtx1060 is good and equal to rx 480 however Nvidia neglects the 1060 when it comes to promotion and stuff.Currently you can claim Civ VI on rx 480

What is better though! The rx 480 8GB or the 1060 6GB

^ that's a debate that will never end.
Both absolutely first class 1080p gaming cards, the 1060 wins in the majority of current titles, the 480 may offer better logetivity for the future (historically amd cards do tend to age better)

At 60htz it really just doesn't matter , personal preference to amd or nvidia & price would dictate which is buy personally - there ia no absolute right or wrong decision between the 2 IMO.

Could this setup run a 144hz monitor?

75hz or above. Also i'll put together a list below to help you decide which Graphics card to pick over which.

Gtx 1060

Pros:
Power efficient
Runs cooler
Excels in dx11 games

Cons:
No true DX12 card(Async)
Only 6gb vram
No SLI Support(combining 2 GPU)

This card is usually preferred if you have upgrade path with in 2-3 years.

RX480

Pros:
8gb vram
True Dx12 card(Async)
Better Vulkan support
Better driver maturation
Crossfire support(combining 2 or more GPU)

Cons:
Runs hotter than 1060
Takes a bit more power than 1060.
Bad at dx11

This card is usually preferred if you have upgrade path with in 3-5 years.

Also i would like to point out about dynamic refresh rates in monitors .AMD is equipped with FreeSync technology which as the word describes is free and supports refresh rate till 240hz.Nvidia has technology called GSync and unlike freesync its actually not free. Both Gsync and freesync are similar in nature and helps reduce screen tearing .Gsync monitors are costly over freesync monitors due to the fact that monitors which supports Gsync have Nvidia Gsync chip in them which actually leads to extra cost of monitors and thats the reason why Gsync monitor is costly over free sync monitor which unlike Gsync monitor do not use a separate chip for managing refresh rate
