I currently have in my computer 8GB (4GBx2) DDR4/3000MHz Dual Channel Memory (ADATA XPG Z1). I am wondering about two things, is this good ram and should I buy 8 more GB?
What CPU? IF a K model I'd go 3200/14, it's the sweetspot for price to performance, I lean to GSkill and their Trident Z and RipJaws V lines (I have the Tri Z in my rigs as they have a little extra OC headroom
Adata has good DRAM, see how it goes with the 8GB as there are no guarantees when mixing packages of DRAM, else if the DRAM is returnable - return and get a 2x8GB set which will run smoother and be less stress on the MC (memory controller)

If I have an i7-6700k CPU, would I be able to have 4 sticks of 4GB then?

Also, could you tell me which RAM is compatible and will work with my Z170 Pro Gaming Motherboard? Thanks.

I have a Z170 Pro Gaming Motherboard with an Intel® Core™ Processor i7-6700K 4.00GHZ 8MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1151 (Skylake).
Aha, trick question Those are the same sticks, slightly different color scheme (grey shade), Back with the DDR3 line of Trident X all were red, the new DDR4 Z line comes in a variety of color schemes, can see many options on color here :

I went with the standard Z (original in the sets I've played with - go well both with my Z170-Hero and the X99-Strix I have
So should I buy the G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel Z170 Platform / Intel X99 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-16GTZB If not, could you tell me which one specifically (a link maybe) I should buy?
