Hi guys ive recently got and installed my ROG STRIX-GeForce GTX1060-O6G-GAMING Gpu and its working fine in my new rig but the question is about the built in fan headers it comes with an suggests to hook my case fans up to.
In the photo/diagram on Asus's web page it show to hook the rear fan and a bottom case fan or front case fan to the card for optimum cooling.
Has anyone done this with theirs and was there a difference in cooling etc?

I hooked my front two fans up to it ( when i had just installed it and not downloaded the latest driver at that point ) and the result i got was the front two fans didnt fire up at all ( pure wings 2 fans on my Be quiet! Silent base 800 ) but all three fans on my card where running.

Any suggestions, experience and tips appreciated.

you probably need to use the "fan expert" or the "GPU tweak" software to configure those fan headers.
the fans you have i guess are with 3pin connectors while the GPU has 4 pins. so in order to work, the board must be capable of controlling DC (non PWM) fans.
unfortunately, ASUS do not list this info in specs and have no manual to download (what a jerks).
But their fan headers on MB are usually capable of controlling fans in both PWM and DC modes.
