Hi,
So I was browsing through some 1060 (GDDR5(?)) graphics cards and friend of mine said that it depended on the memory my motherboard is capable of handling (it supports DDR3 RAM), so I became curious, because the idea I had was that if I had a 3.0 PCIe x16, wich I have, it would run any type of GDDR graphics card.
If anyone could help me in this matter, I'd be very gratefull.

the video card you mention uses PCix16 v3, since you have that, you are set to go. you can run GDDR3 or GDDR5 it doesn't matter to the motherboard
