So I installed some new fans that were better than my old ones because they sounded like a wind tunnel and I wanted a quiet pc, I booted up my computer and everything was fine then I pulled up a game and everything was nice and quiet, I wanted to see if I could mess with the noise from my gpu by downloading Asus gpu tweak for my Asus card all I did was download the utility and mess with the fan speed a little before deciding that I should just keep it on auto, and I didn't tamper with any overclocking features at all, now the gpu runs at 80% fan speed which is insanely loud and runs around 90c I uninsulated and restarted my pc but it's still happening, did I cheese something?

Gpu is Asus r9 390 strix

Strange the fan runs so high and yet GPU still that hot

Its possible you need to reinstall graphics card drivers to get the fan speed back to what it was before - have a look at this: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2767677/clean-graphics-driver-install-windows.html

Possible Asus tweak may have updated your bios on GPU, i know it has an auto update feature built into its info screen.

Seems its a good thing I haven't updated the tweakm itself for 8 or so months as new version has issues, like it doesn't always start with win 10, and its been known to run fans at max speed.
