So I had a problem with my computer running windows 10 so I did a clean reinstall of windows 7. Before the reinstall my network adapters worked fine and showed up in device manager but since I switched back to windows 7 the network adapter doesn't show up in device manager and I cannot connect to internet even through an Ethernet cable.

Also when I look at device manager there's a driver named Ethernet Controller that has a little yellow triangle with an exclaimation point in it and I'm not sure if this is the network adapter or not because it is under "other devices".

I have checked numerous posts on this problem but none of them are quite like mine so I need some major help.

Solution
You need to find out the make and model of your computer if it's prebuilt and go to the manufactures website support to download the LAN ethernet driver. Like Acer, HP, Dell, etc.

If it's custom, then you need to know the make and model of your motherboard and go to their website.

Download the driver to a USB drive then transfer it to your pc. It may be a compressed zip file which you would download then right click it and click extract all to get the normal file. In the file you should see a setup.exe file to double click for install.

On your computer that needs the driver, if you click start and type system in the search bar. you'll see a system information link, click that and see what it says for your computer make and model.
