Connecting multiple inputs to PC (Headphone DAC and Studio Interface)

What I want to do is have an audio setup at my PC which consists of a Headphone DAC/Amp (a Violectric DAC V800 and V200 amp which I already own) and a pair of studio monitors or perhaps a 5.1 setup.

What is the best way to do this?

I have the headphone amp connected to the V800 through the balanced outputs and the V800 is connected to my PC through optical audio. Would the simplest course of action be to connect the 2 monitors to the unbalanced outputs on the V800 (which means the speakers and headphones would get signal at the same time), or to just purchase a separate interface like the focusrite 2i2 and connect it to my PC over USB?

When people say "multiple INPUTS" I automatically conclude you are saying LINE-IN to the biggest piece in the conversation, the PC, but it doesn't sound like that's what you mean. You have multiple DACs, you connect those to the OUTPUT of the PC.

So assuming we don't have a major miscommunication, do you want all your DAC to play the same thing through a single AUDIO OUT, or do you want your PC to be able to play multiple programs simultaneously?

What I'm trying to accomplish is to have the simplest method of providing analog signal to a pair of monitors.

I currently have a headphone amp connected to the balanced outputs on the DAC (which is connected to the optical output on my PC) , and what I want to do is have a pair of cables connected to the unbalanced outputs leading to a pair of powered monitors.

Could I do this and just control the volume via the speakers to save a couple hundred bucks, or would it be easier to just buy a different interface and connect it to my PC through USB and control them that way?

I don't quite have the electronics knowledge for that,

I think a much simpler solution (maybe not as ideal) would be to connect an RCA to 1/4 inch TS cable to each of the outputs, having them connect straight to the unbalanced inputs on the speakers (I'm thinking about the Yamaha HS8's) and control the gain from the DAC.

If I wanted to listen to the speakers I could just switch the amp off, but if I wanted to use headphones I would have to either power the speakers off or turn the volume to 0. I'm willing to make the sacrifice.

This is possible right?
