*first off, i'm not sure if this is the right category to type this... but hopefully, it is.

So December isn't too far off and in a flash Christmas will be here, and as a present, I wanted to build a computer together with my nephew to give to him. I thought it could be a fun experience, plus he gets a brand new computer. The computer I want to build with him is not intended to be a high end gaming computer, in fact, i'm doing this at his mother's request so she will be paying for all of it. I just wanted to take some suggestions before I spend her money, she only has a budget of $200 but fortunately, I already have some parts on hand. In short I want to get the best bang for my buck.

I already have:
ram:Hyperx Genesis 2gx2 1866MHz DDR3
case: raidmax vortex v3
psu: KENTEK 700 Watt

To restate it this isn't intended to be a high-end gaming computer, not a gaming computer at all really, she wants a computer so that he can do school work on it, but I know he would like to play at least some games, at the very least minecraft.

I need suggestions for a:
CPU
HDD
Motherboard
GPU
CPU Cooler
PSU (I already have one but I don't think it's too good)

all for $200 or less.

I also found a part list that i'm using as a "base"

Thanks In Advance!

fair enough, i've updated my post to include more detail on the ram, case, and powersupply.

$200 is not a realistic budget, after you deduct ~$100 for an OS(unless you can get student pricing) you only have $100 for a CPU, MB,HDD, and a GPU. That means each would cost ~$25.00, and you won't find anything new for those prices. It's the old saying "Good, Cheap, Fast - Pick any two".

Honestly I didn't think it could be done. my bad. :D
