I'm upgrading my computer soon, and this includes the motherboard. I realize that after I install a new motherboard, i'll have to reinstall windows, but I have a separate HDD with a lot of my games and programs on it. my question is, when I replace my mobo and install windows, do I have to wipe my separate drive too?

Solution
Probably not, because I have a drive from another computer and I put it into my computer before and it ran fine. Your primary drive with windows and what not, is the one where you have to reinstall Windows. Make sure windows doesn't format both drives and only formats the one with windows on it while it installs (in which i would disconnect the second drive during reinstall of windows)
