So 2-3 years ago I built my first computer on a $400 budget a amd a8 6600k with a gt 610 for games mainly for league of legends but a year later I went into counter strike global offensive and I love the game practiced it every day with my friends and people I have met and I wanted to upgrade because I was barely squeezing 60fps on 4:3 1024 resolution so I went to upgrade to my brothers cpu a i5-4690k with a really bad video card worse than mine and he got around 80 to 100 fps on 1920 when I went to upgrade I got the same on my old cpu and mother board a A88x-pro to a i5-4690k cpu and z97 anniversary I booted it up downloaded my drivers and deleted my amd went on to csgo on 1920 barely squeezing 30fps at first I was confused but then I asked my brother what I did he said did you fully wipe your computer and reinstall windows 7 and I was like no so I did that wiped out my drivers and went on it again the same result I was mad now but once again I asked my brother and he did his magic with it and updated the bios and got to a point were there was nothing on my computer expect for csgo and google chrome once again 30fps sometimes 50 I don't know what to do now im thinking of returning it and saving to get something else but I was going keep this for a gaming pc till I get a brand new one and have this on has a streaming pc but I don't know what I did wrong.

Solution
Have you tried running on the integrated graphics of the i5-4690k? The Intel HD 4600 is a good bit better than the GT 610, as was the 8570D that the 6600k uses. The GT 610 isn't a gaming GPU, it's a GPU that you use for an office/casual use PC when the CPU doesn't have integrated graphics. Unfortunately, you've literally been running your PCs for 2-3 cards on a GPU you had no reason to buy.

And what is your brother's way worse video card that you're comparing to?

If you have any other questions, please take a breath and slow down and focus your questions a bit - this was excruciatingly difficult to read.

Yeah, just dump the GT 610, entirely. That's your main issue.

Edit: The GT 610 was always the bottleneck, which is why you didn't see any improvement. You could have gotten an i7 6950X and used the GT 610 with it, and you would have had roughly the same results. The CPU wasn't the problem.

I have taken out my graphics card and used that. But it didn't start csgo up so I put it back in. But what I forgot was to download the Intel graphics off their site right? so ill do that right now and tell you the results when I get time.

It did say when I went to download it "this system does not meet the minimal requirements to install" or something like that but that was with the graphics card inside. so ill try without the gpu.

Thanks for your time guys. I was in a rush last night to get to bed. So sorry about that. I'm up early to so thanks agian
