Hi All,

I have an ASUS X99-A Motherboard, and am looking at upgrading the RAM. I have inspected the QVL list, and determined that I would like to install 64 Gigs of Corsair CMK64GX4M8A2800C16 RAM.

My local supplier can only ship this RAM in a slightly different variation.

CMD32GX4M4A2800C16

Is it acceptable to purchase two of the above packs in order to obtain my full 64 Gig quantity? Will doing so affect system performance in any foreseeable way?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Davo

Different kits will have different model #s. As far as mixing sets, there's no guarantees, might work, might not, the higher the quantity, the lesser the chance, same with freq. I'd look for a full complete package, and it doesn't have to be on the QVL, that's just a sampling of what they had available at testing time, and what they had time to test. ;)
