Should I upgrade my GPU or CPU/MoBo/RAM?

So I have a particular dilemma...

A while ago, I built on quite the budget, and ended up with parts like an AMD FX-6300 CPU and MSI R9 380 4gb GPU, as well as 2 x 4GB DDR3 RAM.

Fast forward to now. It's cyber monday, and prices are cheap. But I'm stuck. I've got around $500 I can spend on an upgrade, but I'm not sure whether I should upgrade to a new graphics card first (the 1070) or whether I should upgrade to an i7-6700k CPU, along with a new mobo and 16gb of DDR4 RAM along with it.

Given that I mainly use the computer for gaming, programming, and some occasional photoshopping, which upgrade path should I take first? Is the 380 good enough to last me another year or so? Or is the FX-6300 and 8gb of RAM but a beastly 1070 the better choice? I'm at a loss.

Update
I've decided to go with the i7 route for the following reasons
-Removes 2 bottlenecks, esp with RAM (16gb >> 8gb)
-Decent MoBo upgrade from the $15 one I have now, maybe I can finally start OC'ing?
-i7-6700k is pretty great, despite Kaby Lake coming out soon
-R9 380 is still a decent 1080p gaming card by all means, meaning a GPU upgrade should probably be less prioritized compared to upgrading the FX-6300 which is...not very good.

The 380 isn't horrible, but this would be a more balanced way to spend $500.

Hey, thanks for your input!

I decided to ultimately go with the i7 route first since in my initial build I splurged on the R9 380 but skimped on pretty much everything else. I would still like to get the 1070 in the future, so I guess I'll be saving up for that. In addition, I was able to get a decent MoBo (given my previous one was $15) and a single stick of 16gb ddr4- allowing me to upgrade to 32gb at ease.

This effectively also removes 2 bottlenecks in my system- especially RAM wise. 8gb is just sadly not enough for me.

I assume that these parts are pretty future-proof and should last me a while, even with Kaby Lake coming out soon.

Still I wish I had seen your idea before purchasing, as it is still a really good idea.
