Adding a 4k TV to my set up, for a total of 3 displays. All 3 displays are TVs (only 1 is 4k). Looking for a suitable 4k 60hz card with 3 displayport (or hdmi) outputs. No gaming at all just movies/youtube/netflix etc.
Do you have a budget that you could estimate, or is it a fixed amount. And would you be willing to increase that budget if needed?
At the moment, I would recommend either a GTX 1060 6GB or maybe a GTX 1050Ti, if you plan on gaming go for the 1060, but just for movies the 1050Ti should be fine, and may be able to run the 4K TV.
I never had a budget I was just expecting to pay around $150, so it looks very pricey to me but if that's what i need to pay then it is what is. I can say that I am not gaming 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt. My current set up is for online poker.
My current card has one DVI and one HDMI output and it irks me because I get different pictures (same TV's). I like that the GTX 1060 6GB because it does have 3 display ports and I'm guessing that with the same cables and the same displayport 1.2 to hdmi 2.0 converters etc., it'll produce the same image?
I case you haven't figured by now, I'm not a tech guy. Just bought a 65" 4k on black friday using it so my gf can watch walking dead and I can watch movies and youtube maybe stream big games in sports etc. Though having a pc that's capable of playing the next elderscroll is tempting, its definitely not going to happen. So yeah TV only.
