Need to remove Windows 8.1 from PC and leave only DOS

Hi! I need to format PC, remove Windows 8.1 and leave only DOS, as it was when I bought it. How correctly I can do it?

you sure it came with dos operating system?

Yes, this PC - HP Notebook - 15-ay046ng with Free DOS 2.0

Can I do it this way - put in Windows installation disk, then go til formatting step, format and erease all partitions and then do not continue installing Windows and then I will have just free DOS ?

think if you format everything you will have a blank hard drive

then just download and install free dos

or check if there is a recovery partition most laptops have one that will put it back to how it came from the factory

think its usually tap f11 key as it boots up for hp recovery partition

When I will format both partitions, there remains some 100mb used for system files, I think this is the DOS already, am I right? Otherwise, I don't know how to install it after formatting everything. Can I format all HDD as I mentioned in previous question?

the 100mb is probably windows newer versions of windows make small partitions as well as the main partition

looks like the latest version is 1.2 not 2.0

did you delete all partitions?

including any 100mb or 400/450mb ones

as one of those small partitions is usually to do with recovery so would give something like that message

if you deleted every partition not sure how you are getting that message as the drive should be empty
