Are there any difference between HDMI and Display port on freesync?

Yes, HDMI doesn't offer that capability. Adaptive Sync is part of the Display Port standard.

It does. Depends entirely on the monitor.

Some monitors support Freesync through HDMI and some through Display port.

A monitor that supports Freesync through HDMI won't support it through Display port, same for the opposite.

There are plenty of 60Hz and 75Hz freesync monitors that don't need DP's capabilities, as the HDMI can run at those refresh rates just fine. Yours only applies to 120/144Hz Freesync monitors.

There are more models supported now. I personally use the LG 24MP68VQ-P, which is a 75Hz Freesync through HDMI.

It just doesn't have LFC, which is only possible when your minimum Freesync range multiplied by 2.5x is the monitor's refresh rate. So let's say Freesync range is 30-75Hz, 30*2.5=75 Hz = LFC compatible.

Since mine and most monitors at 75Hz only have a Freesync range of 40-75Hz, LFC isn't supported. Although if you're lucky you could overclock the Freesync range and make it to 30Hz.

Freesync without LFC is still decent, I wouldn't use one without anymore.

You said before that you have 24" version? I am a little worried of the backlight bleeding. Is it big on that monitor? Black color are ok?

Yes, blacks are OK. Colors have nice depth. The monitor has IPS glare, that's the only backdraw. Overall more than happy with the black and colors depth/accuracy.

I am asking you this because I like to play dark games (horror, sc-fi) and it will be upgrade from my Benq VA panel GW2470h which has great black color. Also I am counting for freesync to give me some future proof for my PC.

Me too, but I do races at night in games like Forza Motorsport or I'm in a dark area in Dark Souls 3 and such. It's a great monitor, I had to calibrate it to my liking and now It's great. Other monitors around the same price range aren't better.

I think you are looking at possible performance differences between "Freesync over HDMI" vs "Freesync over displayport" in terms of FPS and smoothness, etc. I'm interested in that too, does anyone know any facts here.

I hear you , but checking last night seems to me a noticeable difference (better) using Displayport version of Freesync, however, it gives me 144 hz vs 120 hz with HDMI so not the best test.

As far as I know, HDMI can only go up to 75Hz. You can only compare it by lowering a DisplayPort-FreeSync based monitor to 75Hz aswell.
